QUESTIONS:What is the Star Rating?
The star rating of your heater is an indication of its energy efficiency. The more stars, the more energy efficient the heater, the lower its running costs when compared with other units, and the lower the greenhouse gas emissions. Does my heater include a zoning capacity?
Zoning can reduce your gas costs by up to $200.00 pa by enabling you to close off areas of the home you are not using. Can I upgrade to a more energy efficient heater?
Your builder can advise you on including an upgrade of your heating system in your new home. What type of Thermostat?
These are available in manual and programmable models. With a manual thermostat you set your own temperature. A programmable model allows you to preset temperatures and times for the system to turn on and off so you always wake up to a warm home. Are heating outlets included in the bathroom and ensuite?
Some builders use heating outlets. Some use tastics. If you would like heating outlets in those rooms we advise that you check with your builder to see if they are included. Can I include a cooling option?
Cooling is usually a home owner requested item so you will need to consult with your builder if you would like to include a cooling option in your new home. |
